The Geometry of Adjustments: assists as conversation
£60.00

CAYC, London

28th November 2026

2 - 5pm

A 3‑hour immersion into the craft of hands‑on adjustment through the lens of geometry, observation and relationship. This workshop explores how touch can organise the body, offer new avenues of movement and create support without force. Throughout the afternoon, you’ll work on developing sensitivity through touch, reading patterns in the body and offering adjustments that are clear, intelligent and responsive.

We will delve into how assists can create orientation, support efficiency and reveal possibility within the body. Rooted in Katonah Yoga® principles, this immersion draws on mapping, measure and metaphor to refine how we see and support others.

These 3 hours are bankable toward your Katonah Yoga® certification. Whether you’re new to adjustments or looking to evolve the way you support others and approach your own practice, come along for an afternoon of exploration, learning and hands‑on experience.

The Space, London.

28th November 2026

11.00am - 12.15pm

Returning to this beloved studio from Dublin, Niamh will guide a 75-minute Katonah Yoga® inspired practice exploring orientation, perspective and the art of making space.

We will work with breath as a measure, folds as a tool, and the body as a dynamic sphere rather than a flat structure. Through the rhythms of folding and unfolding, we’ll investigate how compression can create expansion, how containment can generate capacity, and how organizing ourselves around a center allows for greater freedom in all directions.

Expect breathwork, purposeful patterns, and shapes that invite circulation, volume, and intelligent support.

Hands-on adjustments will be thoughtfully offered throughout class as an additional tool for feedback, orientation, and support.

This practice is an invitation to recalibrate, to occupy your space more fully, and to discover how changing your perspective can change your experience.

Therapeutic Privates

Sometimes the body asks for something different.

A slower pace. More attention. More space to pause, explore and listen.

These one-to-one sessions are designed to support your body through thoughtful movement, longer holds, hands-on assists, and the intelligent use of props to create ease, organisation and stability.

Expect plenty of props, time to settle into postures, practical tools you can take away, and a practice that meets you exactly where you are.

Whether you're completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, these sessions offer an opportunity to slow down, ask questions and receive individual guidance in a calm, supportive environment.
